Battlefield 1, Prey and More: The Latest Trailers

Good morning Morgan, today is Tuesday, August 9th 2016 and you have an appointment to check out the hottest trailers floating around the internet today. New trailers for Prey and Quake Champions have surfaced fresh out of QuakeCon 2016, as well as new videos from FPS rivals Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfarefor you to check out.

Prey

The new Prey was announced at the most recent E3 about a month ago, but since that announcement trailer there hasn’t been much in the news about this re-imagined horror shooter. However, two minutes of gameplay footage for Prey was shown courtesy of Arkane’s Raphael Colantonio and Ricardo Bare.

Featuring shadowy aliens and a claustrophobic setting, the game certainly looks pretty spooky. In addition, it was also announced that protagonist Morgan Yu can transform into a mug, so we’ll have to see how things pan out.

You can check out the full gameplay trailer for Prey below.

Quake Champions

Also hot out of QuakeCon – some actual Quake info! A glimpse at some of the fast and frenetic shooter action from upcoming multiplayer arena shooter Quake Champions was show, and even featured rocket jumping around a cathedral for that peak Quake experience.

“We’re focusing on pure Quake gameplay,” Tim Willits of id Software said during the presentation. The game will also feature a lack of weapon loadouts, which seemed to get Willits pretty excited. “If you want a gun, you go pick it up! You time the pick-up right, or you kill an opponent and take it. That’s how you get a gun in a Quake game!”

Check out the fast and furious action from Quake Champions below.

Battlefield 1

Next up is a trailer highlighting the different look and feel that weapons will have in Battlefield 1. The game is set in World War I which, as is mentioned in the video, was the horrible, world-shaking necessity that inspired countless military inventions we have today. It’s interesting to see not just old-fashioned guns, but literal clubs being used on the battlefield as well.

Check out the latest Battlefield 1 trailer below, it’s pretty amazing.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Finally, there’s a new story trailer from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This is a follow up to the game’s initial trailer which set a record as the most disliked video on YouTube. This trailer sets a different tone, and is entirely dialogue based with no action to be had. Although, the reactions on YouTube have somehow been far more favorable this time around.

Be sure to give Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s new story trailer a peek, and tell us if what you see changes your mind at all.
