Capcom Cup 2016 Details Announced

Capcom has released the full details of the two-day event that will comprise the Capcom Cup 2016 finale.

Day One will take place at the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California on December 2nd. On this first day, the audience will see the Top 32 Street Fighter V players whittled down to the Top 8 thanks to a double elimination bracket. The matches will be best-of-five.

It will be a massive day out, with doors opening at 9am and the tournament itself not ending until midnight, which is a lot of time to fill. Thankfully, Capcom has you covered with some extra activities to partake in.

There will be opportunities to get your swag signed by the pro players and even to play against them at one of the many casual stations that will be set up. If eating is more your thing, Okamoto Kitchen food trucks will be on site to satisfy all of your Japanese comfort food needs.

Tickets to Day One of the event are available from Ticket Fairy.

Day Two, which takes place the following day, will be part of the PlayStation Experience located at the Anaheim Convention Center. There, the remaining Top 8 players will battle it out for a prize pool of over $350,000, and the coveted Street Fighter V World Champion title.

You’ll need a separate ticket to attend the Day Two event, which is purchasable through the PlayStation Experience website. This ticket will not only grant you access to the tournament, but to the rest of the show floor as well.
