Cloud9 Lock In Final LCS Roster With Multi-Year Contracts

Cloud9 are ready to take on the 2017 LCS with a final roster that combines new and established talentand in a noteworthy move for the notoriously shuffle-heavy industry, includes multi-year contracts for their star players.

The team is coming off the back of a strong year, with a summer turnaround that saw them fighting in the NA LCS Season Finals and qualifying in the World Championship, although sadly losing to Samsung Galaxy.

Mainstays Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen, Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi, and Andy "Smoothie" Ta remain with the team on three-year deals as starting mid-laner, AD carry, and support respectively. Head coach Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu has signed a two-year contract, and will gain a new assistant coach in the form of Jang "Cain" Nu-ri, who joins the team after finishing his run as coach at CJ Entus.

Meanwhile, former Cloud9 Challenger jungler Juan Arturo "Contractz" Garcia has been promoted to the main lineup and locked into a two-year term. William "Meteos" Hartman has stepped down as the official jungler and will now be playing sub for Contractz.

The top laner position will remain filled by Jung "Impact" Eon-yeong, although Cloud9 have not mentioned a long-term contract for him. Jeon "Ray" Ji-won moves to Cloud9 from Apex Gaming as a top sub, also signing on for an impressive three-year term.

With all the changes to the LCS structure and a committed, permanent Cloud9 roster, 2017 is going to be a year to watch!
