Team EnVyUs Sweeps WESG, Takes Home Largest Prize In CS:GO History

Team EnVyUs have walked away $800,000 richer after scoring first place at the World Esports Games 2016 Grand Finals over the weekend.

Vincent “Happy” Cervoni, Nathan “NBK“ Schmitt, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, Dan “apex” Madesclaire, and Christophe “SIXER” Xia swept the finals in a hat-trick, leaving TyLoo, Space Soldiers, and Kinguin behind them in an unbroken run to the top.

EnVyUs took Train 16-5 and Dust II 16-6, with NBK finishing the match with an incredible 2.22 KDR20 kills, three assists and only nine deaths on Dust.

The full prize pool of $1.5 million is the largest in CS:GO history, and also the largest purse for EnVyUs to date. Previously, the most they had won in a single tournament was $100,000 at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca.
