League of Legends Patch 7.2 Aims to Make ADs More Murderous

Riot recently implemented a few new finishing touches on League of Legends 7.2 before sending it out into the world, and AD carry mains everywhere are excited about the possibility of being able to actually kill things again.

The recent loss of the Armor Penetration item stat in favor of Lethality left many ADs unable to deal damage to tanks in the midgame.

Patch 7.2 dramatically increases the base percentage of enemy Armor that Lethality bypasses, which means AD-building champions now have more options for taking on this mid-game tanks.

Another big-ticket item that’s getting developer attention this patch is the new phenomenon of being ganked by a full-health jungler at level 3. Jungle monsters now spawn three seconds later, while Gromp and Krug are getting massive damage boosts.

Courage of the Colossus is getting a big nerf, with Riot saying it has “far too much consistent power in 1-on-1 situations,” and enacting a base shield that now scales with the number of opponents nearby.

There’s also significant changes to Duskblade of Draktharr (increasing passive damage), Knight’s Vow (a cost reduction), Chalice of Harmony (magic resist increased), and Edge of Night (active cooldown decreased).

As always, get the full patch notes at Riot’s website.
