Team Dignitas Acquires New Female CS:GO team

Team Dignitas have announced the acquisition of their new Counter-Strike: GO female team. The Philadelphia 76ers-owned organisation have picked up the roster from Selfless who have been supporting the ladies since July of last year.

“[They] have been nothing short of outstanding ambassadors to us, our brand, and our message,” Selfless’ owner Ryu said of the team.

“Their hard work and dedication resulted in them advancing divisions in league play, performing well at offline events at home and abroad, and climbing the ranks of the female pro scene (now recognized as the #2 team in the world).”

The core of the team is their captain and AWPer, Emmalee “emuhleet” Garrido, as well as Lurker Carolyn “artStar” Noquez and Entry Fragger Amanda “rain” Smith. The team is rounded out by Mounira “Goosebreeder” Dobie (who has one of the best handles I’ve ever seen) and Catherine “Cath” Leroux.

Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo is the team’s coach, back up player and as emuhleet puts it, “Team Mom”.

“We are extremely happy to have signed a team who desires, as we do, to compete and win at the highest levels of play,” Dig’s president Michael “ODEE” O’Dell said.

“We look forward to working alongside them in their journey and continued development as professional gamers.

“This is a team of talented competitors who has shown a drive to succeed and dedication to their sport and fans. We are ecstatic to announce the first all-female team in Team Dignitas’ proud 13-year history.”

The ladies will be competing at the Fragadelphia 11 Semi-Professional North American Cup in June. They will also begin competing internationally in co-ed and all-female tournaments soon.
